Beaumont Nursery

Is your child ready to take their first steps in learning?

Welcome to our Nursery

If you're looking for a caring, safe and secure nursery for your child then we invite you to consider our Nursery at Beaumont Primary Academy.

We appreciate that selecting a nursery for your child is a very important decision. We endeavour to provide a friendly, stimulating and inclusive environment where your child can develop to their full potential.

We receive excellent feedback from parents on the work of our dedicated team of Nursery staff. Children settle very quickly and make new friends supported by our team of caring and experienced staff.

At Beaumont Nursery we encourage children to become independent and to make choices about their learning that reflect their own interests. We believe this builds confidence and self-esteem. Activities throughout our nursery sessions are thoughtfully planned to challenge and extend, whatever the age and development level of your child.

We encourage healthy eating by providing nutritious snacks such as milk, fruit and breadsticks. Healthy lunches can be provided for those children who attend nursery for the full day.

Beaumont Nursery children are split into the following classes, based on their age:

Ladybirds for children from 2 - 3 years

Dragonflies for children from 3 years to school age

Beaumont Primary Academy is a Rights Respecting School

Our Core Values: to be safe, to learn and to play

Beaumont Primary Academy holds a gold Unicef Rights Respecting Schools award. At the centre of our approach in EYFS are our three core rights: the right to be safe, to learn and to play. These are taught and used throughout to support good behaviour and respect for others, in a way which is easy to understand for our youngest pupils.

Consistent routines and boundaries will promote respect for our friends and nurture relationships. Children will have opportunities for risk taking, incorporating individual thoughts and providing next steps for individual development, this builds character, personality and self believe. We provide children with the space to be themselves, and to develop their own unique personality.

Beaumont Primary serves a diverse community. We actively support the children’s right to express their thoughts and opinions, and respect and celebrate their beliefs and traditions within an inclusive environment.

We regularly use the facilities within the main school building, for example the cooking room and immersive room, which supports children to develop a range of skills and promotes effective transitions into school.

Our aims are:

  • To provide children with the environment and care they need to develop confidence, independence and knowledge, ready for a successful transition into their Reception year
  • To work effectively in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to meet the needs of all children

To achieve these we will:

  • Provide a safe, stimulating and age-appropriate environment, both indoors and outdoors
  • Plan and deliver thoughtful and engaging activities which develop children’s knowledge and skills
  • Be vigilant and proactive in safeguarding the children in our care
  • Communicate effectively with parents in a timely and professional manner regarding their child
